Comments: The ride, with lights on, draws 280kw of electricity. The Sky Scraper opened on 6/13/1905 in Lagoon Park, Farmington, Utah, USA. The observation wheel is 150 feet tall. There are 36 cabins capable of holding up to 6 people at one time resulting in a seating capacity of 216 passengers at one time. The duration of the ride is 20 minutes, resulting in a total capacity of 648 people per hour. Located on the NorthMidway area, the Sky Scraper hovers above the park. This Ferris wheel is engineered to withstand hurricane force winds, consists of 36 gondolas capable of holding 4-6 passengers each. Requiring 13 semitrailers to ship it to Lagoon, this ride offers a magnificent view of the valley. The ride, with lights,draws 280kw of electricity. This is equivalent to the power necessary to service 140 homes. The Sky Scraper is equipped with a special generator which is capable of operating the ride (without lights).
